The main resource needed at this point is NA, since you need 5 for each piece.
At this point many ask which is the best, I used for my GMGOW the Deadly set (balanced one), but for this purpose I recommend the Cursed one, with massive Runic, Str and Def, a very offensive choice, but also the most efficient imho.Īs soon as you have the chestpiece and the talisman, you can do full runs of the maze, hoarding resources for the rest of the set. Once in the workshop, help yourself to the goodies, and you'll get enough ME and Niflheim Alloy (NA) for the chest piece. SECOND order of business is to beat the first arena, you can enter-exit until you feel comfy with the monsters, like dark elves, nightmares, draugr – much more handleable than revenants, wolver, wolves or viken, imho. If you can get 2K of them, good, since you'll also solve the key to Ivaldi's workshop. To this end, run through the first arena to intermediate areas, and hoard Mist Echoes (ME). Still, for many combinations of monsters, you'll be served your arse on a platter in 1-2 blows.įIRST order of business is to get the Mist talisman from Sindri. If the above steps are followed as such, you should reach Nifl in a pretty unfit stage, somewhere around lvl5, with decent runics and weapon upgrades, and a fair amount of skills activated. THIRD STEP is to immediately head to the activation panel upon returning from Hel the second time, then straight to Niflheim, where the real adventure starts. Unfortunately, there is no backtracking available, so you must press on and have the very nice boat fight without godly overpowered gear. THE 4TH codex piece you get almost upon reaching the Summit for the 2nd time, it is impossible to miss. SECOND STEP is to make sure, as soon as Mimir talks to the serpent and water drops second time to get the 3 (three) Nifleheim codex pieces around the lake, there are many good guides for them, easy to get immediately. DO make sure you get the boulder throw rage skill, it will sudden death any tricky fight, like trolls or ancients.
You'll come across enough excellent runic attacks to not need side strolling for extras, also resources to max out the BOI's bow and upgrade your own skills and weapons nicely. Do not backtrack for left behind chests and areas, you can mop up afterwards, since it will just hinder your speed and timing.ĭO upgrade everything you can, gear and skills, according to preference, so that it is also a pleasant run, not just a mad quest. Sure, DO open any Nornir chest in your way, and DO try to clean up every area to the extent available with the skills and gear you have. Getting to Nifleheim as soon as possibleįIRST STEP is to run through main story ONLY, no side quest distractions.
Challenge is not THAT easy, even for gmgow players, and will offer a few (but not many) challenging moments, but also it will alow the rush to be a rush. I played my first run on gmgow, and seeing as the rush went, I believe it is possible but will take too long, with some moments of serious frustration. I strongly recommend Challenge difficulty. This guide is intended for anyone who has played through GOW at least once, and has some skill but also wants to see an overpowered Kratos as soon as possible in the game – I estimate between 10 and 15 hours until you reach godly powers and literally obliterate any further challenge in the game.
